USC student adopts vegan lifestyle after battle with debilitating skin condition

In middle school, Jasmine Espy was diagnosed with a chronic skin condition called Hidradenitis Suppurativa. HS is a skin condition causing recurrent boils in places where skin touches skin. After years of misdiagnosis, and some treatment, Espy began experimenting with diet as a form of relief from a condition doctors have labeled as “incurable”. By adopting a vegan lifestyle, Espy lost 130 + pounds, regressed the HS on her body, and noticed an improvement in her overall wellness. Espy talks more about this drastic change and shares a recipe along the journey.
